The annual Wo-Zha-Wa Festival is being held in the Wisconsin Dells this weekend. Wo-Zha-Wa, which is Ho-Chunk for fun, is the annual celebration of the end of the tourist season. Although the festival attracts lots of people from all over the area, it is really an event for the locals. This annual festival seems to transform the Dells from a tourist town back into a typical American small town, at least for a little while.
The event takes place downtown, and features a parade, carnival, farmers market, antique flea market, arts and crafts fair, live music, concessions, and fun for the entire family.
