Kalahari Choose Your Own Adventure Packages

The Dells Kalahari has a unique promotion available in April, May and June. They call it the Choose Your Own Adventure package, and give you a choice of several upgrades to add to your room for free. Starting at $199 for select days over the next couple of months, you can get a one night stay in a Desert or Hut room. Desert and Hut rooms are the Kalahari’s standard two queen rooms. The Desert rooms are located in the main building, and Hut rooms are in the Sands Condominium building. My preference has always been the Desert Rooms due to their closer proximity to the water park.

With your reservation, you get the choice of 3 of the following free upgrades:

Suite Upgrade
Breakfast for 2 adults & 2 Children (ages 12 & under)
2 games of bowling with shoes for 4 people
Horse-back Riding for 2 people
4 Indoor Theme Park Ride Passes
20″ Pizza & 4 Sodas
Duck ride for 2 adults and 2 children
$40 Dinner Credit for Great Karoo or Kahunaville
2 In-room Movies

If I were going, I would defintiely select the suite upgrade to give us a little more breathing room. I would also chose one of the meal options – probably either the breakfast or the $40 dinner credit. My third choice would be the Indoor Theme Park passes. We had so much fun at the Indoor Theme Park the last time we were there, that I think the family would want to do that again. The horse-back riding and the Duck tours are also good options. I don’t think the in-room movies would appeal to me. We can watch movies at home any time!

The dates for the special discounted Kalahari Family Nights at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells were recently updated and include 14 dates for reduced rates in 2010. Rooms start at $109 for a Desert or Hut room. Other room styles are also available at special discounts.

Chula Vista $199 All Inclusive Special is Back!

The great all inclusive special that Chula Vista has run the past couple years is being repeated again this year. For just $199 you get the following:

2 nights in your choice of hotel room
Unlimited meals at the Market Fresh Buffet & Lounge and Crash Landings Restaurant
Unlimited drinks at 2 bars
Unlimited use of the Lost Rios Indoor Waterpark

The special rate is valid for Sunday – Thursday night stays through January 30, 2010 and is based on double occupancy. Children between the ages of 3 and 21 are an additional $46 per night, and children under the age of 3 are free. Blackout dates are December 23rd through January 3rd and January 17th.

Great Kalahari September Deal

There is a great deal available at the Kalahari for the night of September 11, 2009. For $109, you get your choice of a Hut or Desert Room and a breakfast buffet the next morning (other room types are also available at additional cost). As an added bonus, for just $5 more per person you can get passes to the new Kalahari Indoor Theme Park. Typically these passes are $20 each for hotel guests.

I tried some random dates, and was able to find rooms as low as $91 a night! I have never seen regular rooms at the Great Wolf Lodge, much less suites at the resort, for less than $100 a night.

Kalahari Suite & Theme Park Deal

Travelzoo posted another great Wisconsin Dells deal this week. This time it is at the Kalahari for stays in April, May and June. For $129.95 a night, you get accommodations for 4 in a suite, 4 water park passes, and 4 passes to the new Kalahari Indoor Theme Park. Considering that passes to the theme park normally run $20 a person for hotel guests, it is like getting a suite at one of the nicest Wisconsin Dells resorts for $50 a night!

To book this special, visit the Kalahari reservation website. Enter code TRAVELZOO in the Corporate ID field to get the discount. Please note that when you make your reservation, you’ll be offered a Desert or Nomad room, which are not suites. The suite upgrade will take place when you check in. The exact suite style that you receive depends on availability at check in.

Coupons for Discounted Stays at The Wilderness

The MilwaukeeMoms.com website has a coupon available for discounted stays at the Wilderness Hotel in Wisconsin Dells. The coupon is for $20 off a one night stay or $50 off a two night stay. The discount is being offered as a part of their Spring Break Specials promotion, although you can take advantage of the discount long after Spring Break is over. The coupon is valid for stays through June 10, 2009. The coupon doesn’t list any restrictions, other than “the discount is not valid with any other offer”. There are no blackout dates, and you can use the coupon on weekends.

The Wilderness has rooms available this spring for as little as $99 a night. A 2 night stay could end up only costing $75 a night when booked with the coupon. That is an excellent deal considering that $99 a night is as low of a rate as you’ll usually see at the Wilderness.

Chula Vista Offering Incredible All Inclusive Special Again

Back in December I wrote about the incredible all inclusive special that Chula Vista has run the past couple years during December and January. For $199, you get 2 nights in your choice of hotel room plus all of your meals and drinks. It really is the best deal you’ll find in Wisconsin Dells all year. I am happy to report that they have decided to run this special again during April and May!

Here are the details. For $199, you get two nights in Junior Suite or Golf Villa. All meals & drinks are included. It is valid for Sunday – Thursday night stays from April 19th – May 21st. The rate is valid for 2 adults. Children between the ages of 4 – 21 are an additional $49.75 a night. Children under the age of 3 are free. Blackout dates are April 23rd & 30th, and May 4th.

The Travelzoo Top 20 newsletter came out today, and this offer was included in their list of the 20 best deals of the week. Sundara Spa Half Price Deal

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about a Milwaukee radio station that was offering suite packages for the Sundara Spa in Wisconsin Dells for half price. The deal got a lot of attention and the packages sold out immediately. I have good news to share – the offer will be repeated again tomorrow morning starting at 10:00.

Milwaukee’s WKLH will be offering a one night stay at the Sundara Inn & Spa in a Premier Suite, plus a $50 spa credit for $125. Standard rates for the room alone run as high as $279, so this is an excellent deal. The special sale starts promptly at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 1st. Judging by the response last time, I would suggest being ready to go at 10:00 tomorrow morning if you are at all interested in trying to get in on this deal.
