flickr-sweet-mustache1The H.H. Bennett Studio in downtown Wisconsin Dells is offering free admission on Mondays during the month of June.  If you don’t know who H.H. Bennett is, you will no doubt know his work.  He is the photographer who famously took a picture of his son jumping from one Dells rock formation to another in the late 1800’s.  The scene in that famous picture, titled “Leaping  the Chasm at Stand Rock”, is still being recreated today.  Instead of a boy making the jump however, these days it is done by a dog.

The H.H. Bennett studio is located at 215 Broadway in downtown Wisconsin Dells. During the summer tourist season, it is open daily from 10:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.  Admission is $7 for adults, with a $1 discount for students and seniors, and $3.50 for children.  During June, visitors can get in for free.

More information can be found on the H.H. Bennet Studio website.
